What to Expect

Participants will be guided through a painting session where they learn basic techniques and creative expression in a relaxed, social setting. Using brushes, paints, and tools, attendees will create their own artwork to take home. A unique overhead mirror setup may be used to enhance visibility of brush strokes, making learning easier for everyone.

About

Perry Holmes is a Winnipeg-born artist. After many years as a Data Technician, he chose to pursue art full-time. His Red River Métis heritage from his mother’s side in Elie, Manitoba has always been a source of pride and inspiration that is reflected in his artwork. His circle of friends continues to grow as he paints poignant images from people’s lives.

Workshop Objective

• Embrace creative expression and learn painting fundamentals under the guidance of a professional Métis artist.
• Experiment with different brush techniques, colour blending, and layering.
